Scrobble Cleaner for Last.fm

Privacy policy

Effective October 5, 2026 · Version 1.0.0

Scrobble Cleaner helps you select and delete your own Last.fm scrobbles. It runs in your browser and uses Last.fm’s existing deletion controls after you confirm the action.

Data processed on your device

The extension reads your Last.fm username and the listening history displayed on the page so it can identify your own library, label selection controls, and carry out your deletion choices. Processing stays in your browser and Last.fm’s normal website flow.

Temporary jobs with no saved activity for more than 24 hours are discarded when the extension next reads them. Session storage follows the browser’s tab lifecycle and can be retained by session restoration. You can clear Last.fm’s site storage to remove it. Uninstalling the extension removes its local language preference; it does not automatically clear Last.fm site storage.

Network activity and credentials

The extension uses your existing signed-in Last.fm session and the site’s own delete controls. Last.fm processes deletion requests under its own policies. The extension does not request your password or API key, read browser cookies, send listening history to another service, or operate a remote deletion server.

There are no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, remote code, or developer-operated endpoints. The developer does not receive your listening history, username, language setting, or deletion activity through the extension.

Scrobble Cleaner uses and handles this data only to provide its scrobble selection and deletion features, in accordance with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is not sold, used for advertising, or made available for human review by the developer.

Permissions

The storage permission saves your language preference. The content script is limited to https://www.last.fm/* so it can add controls to your own listening history and use the existing deletion flow. It does not run on other websites or read your browsing history.

Deletion and your choices

Deleting a scrobble permanently changes your Last.fm library. The extension cannot undo it. Selected entries require confirmation; clearing the full library also requires your username. You can pause or stop after the current request, close the tab, disable the extension, or uninstall it. None of those actions restores deleted scrobbles or cancels a request already sent to Last.fm.

Independent extension

Scrobble Cleaner is not affiliated with or endorsed by Last.fm. Last.fm is a trademark of its respective owner. For Last.fm’s handling of account and listening data, see Last.fm’s privacy policy.

Policy updates and contact

This policy describes version 1.0.0. If the extension’s data handling changes, the policy included with the updated version will change. Once published, support and developer contact information will be available on its Chrome Web Store listing.
